Gessner Peak

Gessner Peak () is the highest peak (3,020 m) of Storkvarvet Mountain, standing 3 mi N of Habermehl Peak in the NE part of the Mühlig-Hofmann Mountains of Queen Maud Land.

Discovery and naming

Gessner Peak was discovered by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938-1939), led by Capt. Alfred Ritscher, and named for the manager of the German Hansa-Luftbild, an aerial photographic corporation.[1]
